What we do
Most solar lead-gen sites give you a form, sell your details to 3–5 installers, and let the installers fight over you. We don't. We're a matching service — we pick one installer for your roof and postcode, we negotiate the rebate stack with them in advance, and we stay involved through to install day.
We're free for homeowners. We earn a finder's fee from the installer when (and only when) you sign a quote you're happy with. The fee is built into their standard customer-acquisition budget, so it doesn't change what you pay.
Why one installer, not three
The "compare 3 quotes" model has been the dominant solar lead-gen approach for 15 years. We think it's broken. Three quotes for the same job are almost never apples-to-apples, three installers call you within an hour of each other, and the lowest-priced quote often comes with the smallest panels and the cheapest inverter (which costs more in the long run).
Our approach: we know our installer network, we know which one is best for your roof and postcode, and we put you with that one. If they don't deliver, we re-match for free. The customer feedback over six years backs this up — we sit at 4.8/5 compared to the 3.7/5 average for traditional quote platforms.

We cover all 8 Australian states and territories. We have installer partners from Cairns to Hobart, Perth to Newcastle. Our team is made up of Australian solar specialists (not offshore call-centre scripts).
Who's behind it
Solar Power Savings is part of the Why Solar group — the same operator family that runs whysolar.com.au. We've been matching Australian homeowners with the right installer since 2018, and we've placed over 12,400 systems on rooftops in that time.

How we earn
We're paid a finder's fee by the installer when you sign a quote and proceed to install. If you don't go ahead, we don't earn anything — there's no cost to you regardless. The fee is part of the installer's customer-acquisition budget (the same money they'd otherwise spend on Google Ads or door-knocking), so the price you pay is the same with or without us.
What we'll never do
- Sell your contact details to any other party.
- Pass you to a different installer without telling you.
- Recommend a specific panel or inverter brand we don't believe in.
- Use scripts or high-pressure tactics when we get in touch.
- Lock you into a contract you can walk away from in seven days.
